I wanted to share my experience living in a European country as a brown person, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and perspectives. I’ve been here for a while now, and one thing I’ve noticed when it comes to dating is the overwhelming preference for blondes. It often feels like people (especially in the dating scene) overlook brunettes, particularly brown girls like myself.

Beyond the beauty standards, I’ve also encountered some form of internalized racism, where there seems to be an unspoken preference for people who are more “European-looking” and lighter-skinned, while those of us with darker skin tones or features are pushed aside or even subtly dismissed.

So, I wanted to ask—Do you find brown girls attractive? If so, what specific features do you find appealing? I’m genuinely curious to hear others’ thoughts, as it can sometimes feel isolating or disheartening.
