Career advice kinda thing?
Former ranger batt guy, got out about a year ago. I was battalion, tabbed, deployed the whole 9 yards did your typical 4 years.
I work a good paying job now (150) but I hate its beyond mundane. Its so much money I feel like a idiot to pass it up I really don't work much either its just a pos company. Got a 100% disability and I'm going to school online for free. This was my dream and I'm exactly where I wanted to be when I planned on getting out. But Im not even a tad bit fulfilled.
My buddy hit me up the other day about a private contracting job and I was laughing about it at first and can't stop thinking about. Just the idea of going and repping my kit and m4 again sounds dope. I've been more motivated the past few days had better workouts faster runs with that as motivation.
I can't stop thinking about going back to doing something like that, its all that's been on my mind the past 6 months really. Which is crazy cause when I was in all I wanted was the opposite. I really think the only way I'll be good is if I get back to it in some kind of way, I need a bit more fulfillment in a career than “sales”.
My question is where? Whether its contracting, fbi, cia. I'm pretty open to whatever I just need to be surround by not I guess “normal” people and mf who actually want to push themselves.
I tried soft skill mos did a try 1 in the natty guard and I could not stand it. I need to be 11B orientated kinda job or just something close to it relatively.
Anyone know job titles I can do research on for either… CIA? FBI? Or private military contracting companies worth checking out, just doing research at this point.
