Joining VIT

Hey Guys, I have currently given gate exam and have 43 marks based on response sheet.
1) Is there admission in VIT based on gate score or is just vitmee exam.
2) If there is admission based on gate score will i get CSE with 43 marks.
3) should i join VIT or just join any low ranking NITs(if i can).
Please help me with there questions.
