New player looking for class help

Hello, totally new to the series and looking to pick up Space Marine 2 next week. I always play Mage/range type builds to take out enemies, so it looks like the Sniper with invisibility or Heavy with shield and range weapons would be best fit for me over tactical or assault. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you
