[Review] Archer watch straps
Review Hey there, yesterday I got the Archer watch straps Bond NATO strap and wanted to talk about it. Please let me know any other watch strap companies I should check out and give my opinion on
The good:
The nylon is super comfortable in my opinion, been wearing it all day today and partly yesterday and zero complaints on that
The price at $16 was too good to pass up a try and for the price it’s definitely punching up in its class. Pretty much all of their straps are in that $20 range and I’m pretty sure they can be ordered on Amazon as well for some quick shipping. I ordered on the website with whatever shipping was cheapest and it took about a week (not bad at all).
The packaging was nice and compact and fully recyclable if you care about that. Nothing too crazy just some branded cardboard, not an experience or anything but still professional.
The bad-ish
I seriously wish I could get the buckles in a brushed aluminum option to match (I will probably attack it with scotch-brite later). I’d honestly pay the extra couple bucks to have that option available to me of like an all black buckle option.
The strap does seem like after a few months it will start to show some fraying (no strong stitching on the edges or end). I might just be at the more extreme end of the use case because I totally plan to daily this strap hard through work and life. The buckle hole is stretched a little already as well which isn’t super cool for the first day wearing it.
Overall the watch strap is pretty sweet for only $16 would I pay an extra four dollars for better stitching and a brushed buckle, yes. But, for what it is and what I paid I’m very pleased and I’d recommend looking at their straps especially if you change out your straps a lot or aren’t an extreme use case.
TLDR: archer watch straps are good for what you pay but don’t expect it to act like a $100 strap
