Help me and my friends have an amazing Yosemite trip

Hello! My friends and I are doing a road trip from SF to LA in a week. We'll be stopping at Yosemite for 2 nights and I'm need help getting suggestion and advice for an enjoyable and memorable Yosemite itinerary since this is our first time.

Context:

  1. We leave for Yosemite on March 22nd morning and arrive by 9-10am
  2. We're staying in El Portal (Cedar Lodge) for 2 nights
  3. We don't have any snow hiking gear so we'll likely stick with easier trails. In fact, unfortunately we don't really have any proper hiking equipment so maybe longer/harder trails might not be an option for us but please advise
  4. We have a car that we'll drive into Yosemite and we can use it to drive around Yosemite if needed

Questions

  1. What are the recommend places we should visit in 2 full days. We don't want our itinerary too packed but we would want to see the iconic or scenic places like Mirror Lake, Glacier Point, Mariposa Grove, Tunnel View
  2. How's the weather in March? Is it still very icy and snowy? I'm assuming it's still cold enough that we'll need plenty of layers
  3. How should we handle our car? Are we able to view Yosemite by driving around the park or should we park in one spot and walk and use the shuttle? If so, where should we park?
  4. We might not be able to bring enough food for all our meals so is Yosemite Valley the only place to get food?
  5. If we don't plan to hike much, would you recommend visiting Yosemite for just 1 day and spending the other night elsewhere during our road trip?
  6. Is there anything else to see in the surrounding area outside Yosemite? Maybe visiting Mariposa or other nature spots? We were thinking that if 1 day at Yosemite was enough or too tiring, we could spend our 2nd day outside the park
  7. [IMPORTANT] Is there any advice driving in snow? We've never driven in snow before. We're getting snow chains in case but hopefully we don't need them and can return them. We'll most likely only be using Hwy 140 and maybe 41
  8. Any other suggestions are appreciated!
