Struggling to Organize My Digital Clutter: Any Solutions?
Has anyone figured out a good way of organizing links and other media in one place? I have (and I'm sure you do, too) probably thousands of videos, screenshots, websites, individual posts, etc. saved all over the place. Tiktok, instagram, facebook, youtube, pinterest, lemon8, notes, reminders, bookmarks, etc. I'm sure I'm forgetting some. And within each of those platforms, I have multiple folders for "organizing" the content I've saved there, but it's not organized at all.
So when I'm in a situation where I need a specific resource, for instance, an AI geared toward academic research (I was reading about this in another post, and thought "that would be so useful, lemme save this, where should I save it? I want to make sure I remember it later when I need it, I'll never find it again if i save it to any of my current spots, I wish i had a better way to keep track of all this shit," and that's how this post was born) SO ANYWAY god i get tired of the constant digressions ANYWAY WHEN I'M IN A SITUATION WHERE I NEED A SPECIFIC RESOURCE or like when I have a problem and think "gee, feels like I saw something about this the other day, I think I saved it somewhere," I have to search through a thousand folders in a thousand different apps and it just drives me absolutely fucking crazy.
I'm so tired of having a million saved little bits of helpful or interesting info that I know are relevant to my life because I'm the one who saved them and no access to them when they would actually be helpful. So has anyone come up with a solution?? Some kind of media cache or repository that's organized into topics/categories?? Anything??
Also, not totally related, but I frequently forget why I need things/why they would be helpful in the moment when shopping, so i end up not buying them, then when I'm in the situation that originally made me think I needed the thing, I remember why I needed it and think "damn, I should've gotten the thing." Has anybody come up with any solutions to that?
