How to reply to a ghoster

I have just received a chat from the man who ghosted me. He told me earlier in the month of April that he would be really busy because of his upcoming finals and since he’s a graduating student, I’m expecting that they would be bombarded indefinitely. Pero nagpromise siya na by April 20 mas free na siya and so I waited for the whole month of April and didn’t bother him at all. When April 20 came, he never replied back to my message whatsoever. My friend even told me nakita niya siya on a date in the cafe we first met. Cried my eyes out to be honest. Pero today, he messaged me and explained how busy he was and updated me a bit. I left him on seen for now pero I’m not even sure anymore if I should reply and how I should even reply. What even is the point pa diba of him stepping back in?
