Update on first AR
Another budget rifle to feast your eyes on. In a month and a half to two months of owning this thing I’ve already gotten restless rifle syndrome. Swapping this here swapping that there. Still don’t think I’ll leave it in one configuration for long. So far everything has been running good with zero malfunctions. Came way overgassed of course but now it’s running smooth. Only malfunctions were from tuning the adjustable gas block and having too little gas. Probably should’ve went with a 16” for my first ar but I’m happy with the 12.5” Will definitely grab a 16” or 18” upper to run some 77gr and make it an SPR to swap with this one in the future. Will eventually make another full build with that upper for “long range.” Only thing I want to swap on this now is get a chrome lined 12.5 mid length barrel and get a can. Other than that I’m satisfied with everything else. Have put about 560-580 rounds through it with 100 being pmc bronze 55gr .223 and the other aac 55gr 5.56 and with just an sig dot and 3x magnifier I was getting 1.6-1.7 moa. With an lpvo I’m sure I could get a slightly tighter group. Overall satisfied with this Reddit/guntuber influenced build. Also rattlecanned this thing the second week I had it lmao.
