Educational LOA

Alright people, time to bust out the regs. Anyone had luck getting Educational Leave of Absence approved? Did it work like the reg said, or did you have to do something special? AR 600-8-10, page 34. It seems too good to be true, but it would be sweet to do since I’m so close to INDEF anyways.
