Grindr Scam

Hi, anyone in northern Iowa talked to a guy names Jamesy on Grindr? I did and instantly he asked to go to WhatsApp... I did go to WhatsApp just to entertain my self because it seemed fishy. I am extremely skeptical about him. He claims to be 21 and lives in Iowa but his phone number is from cali... I'm hoping someone has talked to him before. The conversation I had with him falls in line with the scams I keep reading about.
