Enter EU in Italy, depart from Zurich

Hello everyone

If I enter the EU in Italy and get my passport stamped, and then come to Switzerland via train and eventually fly out of Zurich, will I have to do anything since Switzerland is not part of the EU? I plan on asking the customs agent in Italy but am curious if anyone knows if there are any special things I need to do before boarding my flight home?
