CBD from Pollen Island - the forbidden photo?
Back when I commuted from out west to work near the airport, I use to marvel at the amazing pink sunrises over the CBD that you could see as you looked out over Pollen Island from the Causeway.
As a sometimes-taker-of-photos, I often wondered how I might be able to legally get beyond the barriers on the coastal side of the motorway, to sit there and slowly wait for just the right moment to take just the right photo of the sunrise over the city across the still waters of the Waitematã.
In reality, looking at Google maps, I don't think there's a sensible way of doing it without landing a boat, and I sure as hell won't be stopping on the motorway for it. I'm really curious though - has anybody else had the idea of taking this 'forbidden photograph' stick in their mind?
