Uber eats - sneaky rort

Heya. I don't use uber eats much. I actually miss restaraunts having their own delivery drivers and believe uber is a pretty evil company.

Lately with a newborn I've been relying on it more and more for emergencies. Has anyone else noticed that if you order from a chain after 9pm or so, it automatically selects the restaurant furthest from you within delivery range? It's not a one off. This has happened three times recently. The closest restaurant is not busy at the time, because it allows me to place an order with half the delivery time. I even placed one just to check. Completely deceitful and dodgy.

Has anyone else experienced this?
