Hello all! Long time lerking looking for water filter options!

I have a steripen, iodine tablets (the two part set kind), and 2 Nalgenes (not sure if I'm going to bring 1 or 2 bottles, I really love water lol) I'll be dispensered camping for 2 nights in Wayne National Forest in Ohio and I won't be very far from my truck and a jug of tap water from my house. However, I want to learn and try some new skills. I want to be able to pre filter water into a Nalgene, and then steripen from there, and maybe try some iodine water. Maybe through a cloth or something? Or I think there's some pump styles that do this but I don't know the models. Any input would be very helpful! This will be my first backpacking camp trip, I'm so very excited! Thank you all, all of you pictures and stories are a inspiration!
