I got fired :(
I used to work as a bobarista (person who makes bobas) and during my time there I was only a trainee. My first ever shift was two hours and they taught me the basics about the drinks and machines. My second shift I had was working during the weekend and it was four hours whilst also being rush hour time. I felt slow and messed up a lot of drinks during that shift because my manager was telling me to hurry up and that orders were pulling up. The third training shift was decent but I still messed up a bit and could tell that my manager was getting angry at me so I felt horrible afterwards and studied ways I could improve. By then I had completed 3 out of 5 (11 hours out of 20) of my training shifts and that I was waiting for when they’ll call me in for my next two training sessions since they didn’t give me a roster. They hadn’t told me how much nor when I will be payed for training so I had to personally contact them via text and asked them when my next two shifts will be and when will I be payed. They contacted me back explaining how my schedule as a highschool student didn’t align with their’s and how my training was unsuccessful. I feel horrible and stupid right now and I’m not sure what to do, I’m going to try to find another job but I just wanted to get this off my chest.
Edit: Thank you everybody for replying to my post, everyone’s comments have truly made my day and given me the courage to move forward to another job opportunity inshallah :D. I wish I could hug all of you guys individually and I hope you’re all doing well 🫂!! Though before I end this post off here I would like to say that my managers are nice people, they truly truly are and I’m not blaming them for this outcome. Sometimes you win some, you lose some I guess, and that’s okay :)
