Can a cellphone deplete a battery really fast for no apparent reason ?

I have a simple Nokia phone, like the 3310 but more recent (don't remember the model, it doesn't matter).

Anyway, some day the battery life was reduced by like 90% in a matter of days, I don't know why.

When it would hold for almost a week, it now wouldn't last a single day.

So a week ago I ordered a new battery and... The battery still doesn't even last for one day.

I complained to the seller who sent me another one and... Still the same, the battery deplete way too fast.

So either this seller is a crook, either their is a problem with my phone, making it deplete the battery way too fast.

Again it's not a smartphone, it's an old school Nokia, so there are no applications draining the battery or anything, if there is a problem, it can only come from the hardware.

Is it possible to have some kind of short circuit or something draining the battery too fast (but no like super fast, it still takes like 6 to 8 hours) ?

Edit : to add more precise details : it's a Nokia 130 Dual SIM RM-1035, the battery is a BL-5C (the original one and the 2 new (?) I bought.

I should add I'm not using the charger given with the phone because I lost it a long time ago.

But when I received the batteries, there were full at like 50-75%, I didn't charged them before using them, and the batteries lasted for less than 8 hours.
