running 12 minute mile
hi! i’m a beginner runner and my mile is like 12 minutes… i never feel physically tired (my legs never hurt or anything) its just the fact that i cannot breathe to save my life! i dont know why, i am 22 years old, 5’7” around 115lbs, i used to vape but i quit over a year and a half ago now. does anybody have any tips?
edit: thanks for all the tips! i actually posted this right before i went for a run and also watched some videos on running breathing. i just ran my faster mile ever (11 minutes and 1 second lol) by breathing in through my nose, out with my mouth. when i was breathing out through my mouth, i wasn’t breathing all the way out, so i would make myself breathe out twice. sometimes if it was getting difficult i’d breathe in through my nose twice also, but never through the mouth. that’s when it gets tough.
