Is there a way to disable hint/repeat dialogue?

Pretty much self-explanatory.

The writing being god awful aside, I'm willing to tolerate it for my first playthrough and then just completely mute dialogue and disable subtitles if I decide to ever play through a second time. My current issue is the obnoxious, frankly just infuriating trait of NPCs to repeat the same handful of lines over and over again because I'm trying to loot ammo or weapons. Exploring being punished by loud, impossible to ignore "Hey, go do this!" "Hey, why aren't you doing this yet?" "Hey, it'd be really cool if you did this!" "Hey, you awake? I'm waiting for you to do this!" "Hey, why aren't you doing this yet?" ad infinitum.

Is there a specific option anywhere to shut them the fuck up? Is there a mod out there to keep them quiet? Or am I just going to uninstall and reinstall 2 instead? I'd really like to give this game a chance despite the deserved reputation, but I'm half an hour in and already at the end of my rope with the NPCs yelling at me.
