Cap'n Cook

In the first episode when Hank takes Walt on the ride along he mentions their snitch is a guy named Cap'n Cook, and then later when walt reaches out to Jesse the first time he asks him if that's his nickname. Does that mean Jesse is the snitch or did I just misunderstand?
