People are panic buying.. but I keep losing my cart and there's almost nothing left.

I've been planning to build a PC for a few days, and was going to order parts tonight for pickup at Micro Center tomorrow. I'm just going for a midrange to low end build, it's a Christmas gift and I already have a case/cooling and SSD. This has been my evening, off and on, over the last couple hours.

I got the 7600X bundle I wanted in my cart and scored an open box $250 RTX 4060, great! Cheap power supply and I'm golden. Let's go check out!

RTX 4060 was gone. Darn, I was too slow. Ah well.

Okay, let's do some research. I'll get the AMD RX 6600. Back to checkout.

The 7600X AMD bundle is gone.

I don't need a 9600X for $100 more, but it comes with 16gb more ram anyway, so that'll work.

Back to the cart, the RX 6600 is now out of stock. Fine, there's another variant for $10 more.

Oh, bummer, the 9600x bundle just sold out.

I have built a lot of PCs and have never experienced anything quite like this. I really didn't want to run LGA1700 on this machine, I am torn between doing that and just waiting a while.

Edit to add: If I needed an air cooler, my MicroCenter has literally zero in stock for AM5.
