CEC - canada In focus, Outland ?

Hi everyone,

CRS - 499 here.

I am currently on a LMIA Exempt closed WP which is set to expire in Jan'25. I came as an ICT to Canada. My company denied to extend my permit because of cost cuts and will send me back to my base location in my home country. I possess more than 8 years of foreign experience and 2 years canadian experience. My spouse who came with me posses same foreign exp and 1 year of canadian exp. Because of mat leave her contract wasn't extended in Canada. I have maxed my Celpip to CLB 10 and same with my spouse. My age is in early 30s. Both me and my spouse has only bachelors. No canadian education.

With all this info, the max CRS I can score is 499.

I have no plans to overstay in Canada. I am going back in next 10 days.

All the experienced folks here do you think is there any chance I stand for CEC in next 2 years ? Not to forget I don't know if STEM draw will ever happen again. Also Canada in focus really means People who are present in Canada ? No outland application will be processed now for CEC or PNP ?

I feel soo unlucky since we were in high paying jobs paying heavy taxes yet people who are fake students are getting PR just because of age and fake degrees. I believe we were a good economic migrant of Canada. Had my company agreed to extend, i could have claimed legit LMIA Exempt 50 points till now and will stand at 550 which was well enough to get ITA. I am not sure with all these recently fake PRs where will the country head to. If these new PRs are not skilled they cannot contribute the same like other economic migrants who are highly skilled and ready to assimilate into Canadian culture. I really liked Canada in a way for its natural beauty, lushy green mountains, exciting outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, skiing, camping. I also had a baby who is canadian born. I wish all skilled professionals like me all the best for their PR pathways. Wish you guys like me who still have time may god help you to build a life here and project a good image of your home country and community.

P.S - Sorry for the rant in the end.
