Trying to convince partner to take CELPIP asap
Just calculated my scores and am at 518. On April 4th my partner will hit 1 year Canadian work experience and our points should bump to 523. I told him he should schedule a test and try and knock it out ASAP because we are from the U.S. and he could get top scores and put us at 543 which is much more of a guarantee with the CEC draw. (I have a job offer with no LMIA required)
He says I need to chill out and we should sit and wait for a few months. Is saying I am getting too obsessive. I'm just struggling because I think my worries are valid and I am thinking through this rationally. There's so much unknown in the political atmosphere that I think there should be urgency and he kinda keeps rolling his eyes about it.
Not sure if I am looking for advice or just someone to commiserate with. Thx.
UPDATE
I pleaded my case and got him to sign up for CELPIP on April 9th. Wish it was sooner but hey HE DID IT.
