Best way to get a CAPM?

Hello r/CAPM.

I am trying to learn project management and feel the best way to start is to get a CAPM certification. I've been reading on the exam and ways to get 23 hours of education. What's the best and cheapest way to get this education? After I get it, do i just write an email to the PMI organization saying I did 23 hours of education? What do I need to do before I qualify to take the exam? Thank you!
