Nightslayer Population Concern

Does anyone else seem to be suffering from the pains of overpop? I feel like there is nothing that can be done, I feel as though Warcraft has matured so much and that it has been minmaxed so sharply everything is farmed to oblivion. Its difficult to play in some regards because of it!
What can be done? Surely it was never this bad.
