Did my 1st Post-mortem Today
Almost 2 years of having my CNA license and I had never done post-mortem care. It always happened that I wasn't there or it was before or after my shift that my residents left. But today it happened, we knew that it was coming but just not when. It was as peaceful as it could be and another aide and I honored her as best we could. This post is just rambles of me trying to process this all, I feel numb and haven't been able to bring myself to cry yet. I was told that the first is the hardest, so there's maybe that at least.
