Update: Father diagnosed with T3N1M0

An update to my previous post regarding my father’s recto-sigmoid cancer diagnosis. They have evaluated the cancer to be T3N1M0. My father was sent home for 2 weeks to recover from surgical site infection. Now he is back at hospital and starting his first chemo cycle with FOLFOX modified. This cycle is of 2 days and there will be 6 cycles in total each after 2 weeks. After the 6 chemo cycles, they plan to do long course CCRT for 28 days of radiotherapy. After that they plan to do a surgery and adjuvant chemo based on ypTN.

Do you have any tips on best practices during this chemo and radiation cycle. How can we as family and attendants best support our father besides being there for him round the clock and what should he be mindful of as a patient to have a smooth chemo/radiation cycle. TIA for all tips and advice
