Cricut Maker Stopped Cutting (Carriage Stuck)
Hi Everyone
My wife’s Cricut Maker stopped working yesterday. Noticeably the Carriage stopped moving. Troubleshooting steps said to move the carriage back and forth six times, but it’s physically stuck. I can move it using a lot of force, but in comparison to my wife’s Explore Air 2 I see it should need next to no force whatsoever. The machine powers on, it will load a mat, but as soon you try to cut anything, it makes a clicking sound and the power button blinks red and white. Customer service was absolutely useless, it took an hour to get someone on the phone, and she refused to send a replacement or let me send this one in for repair, only offering a $50 coupon towards the purchase a new machine and a $30 credit towards free accessories. $400 machine, only had it for two years and they won’t even look at it. Unbelievable. If anyone has any suggestions, we would appreciate it. We have tried switching out mats, doing a force update and trying to cut on multiple different materials, all with the same result.
