Thoughts on All That Jazz (1979)?

For myself, I haven't been as blown away by a movie in a very long time. Fully worthy of the four Oscars it received, as well as its nine total nominations. 1979 had to be one of the strongest years in film history, at least in the English-speaking world --- Alien, Apocalypse Now, Being There, Manhattan, Breaking Away, The Kids Are Alright, Quadrophenia, Monty Python's Life of Brian, Mad Max, My Brilliant Career -- and All That Jazz is up there with any of them.

Do you agree with the common (to the point of being cliched) criticism that the film is 'self-indulgent?'
