Restoring iCloud photos after deleting them from “recently deleted” folder
Hi all, I’m new to Reddit so I hope this doesn’t break any rules.
I recently upgraded to an iPhone 13 pro from an iPhone 7. The data transfer was done at the store and went smoothly. I planned to keep my old iPhone 7 to use for work, but the storage was full. When I got home, I deleted all the photos, videos, and screenshots I had saved from 2015 to now to free up some space. I also deleted them from the “recently deleted” folder.
The next day, I went to look at a photo on my new phone and noticed everything was gone. I didn’t know that if iCloud photos was enabled, all of your accounts are linked and the photos deleted on one device come off the other as well.
Every single baby photo of my cats that exists, photos of my mom’s recently deceased cat, all of my wedding photos, work photos, all gone.
I tried backing up my old phone to a backup that was dated before the photos had been deleted, but they are still not there.
Is there anything I can do, or do I just need to accept the fact that I made a massive, heartbreaking mistake? Are any of those data recovery companies (disk drill, tenorshare, etc) legit, or a scam? Are there any legit companies or places that can help me recover this data?
Any help is so very greatly appreciated. I woke up this morning feeling like I had gone through a break up yesterday.
Thank you all!
