What even is hirsutism

Seriously tho, i tried to ask my GP supervisor but I still don’t get it. A patient said she thinks she has pcos as she’s has one or two dark hairs she plucks from her chin every now and again? Or is this normal? What is hirsutism 😭. Can’t believe I can’t tell what is even normal😂
