I have a caffeine question

So in the San Antonio sub someone asked about cults to join. Someone brought up LDS and I said invite them for coffee. Long story short someone said they drink mountain dew and it's acceptable to drink that. Now I thought all caffeine is not acceptable with LDS, is this correct or does this only apply to hot drinks?
