My wife’s main talking point: “Give me a better alternative.” How do I respond?

Phrased another way, she wants to know: “Where will you go?” Her question has two built-in assumptions: 1. Jesus is her Savior. 2. You need a church to worship him.

The thought has never entered her mind that either or both of these assumptions might be false. How do I respond? My personal belief is that the better alternative is to choose yourself. Take ownership of your own thoughts and feelings, instead of attributing them to an outside entity called the Holy Ghost. Build and pilot your own ship, instead of staying in the “Old Ship Zion” and letting someone else pilot it. Any help on this issue would be appreciated.
