Just how "tough" are F-150's built?

2017 RCSB XL 4X4 5.0 6R80. Bone stock. Used to be someone's driveway plow, it seems to be in great shape despite that. No alignment or drivetrain issues. I bought it to take it across the country with a topper on the bed as a camping rig. I lived in a van for 4 years and wanted something smaller, more efficient, more stealth, and with 4x4. But remembering the trails I used to take the van (E-250) on, I worry about the durability of a half-ton with a thinner-walled frame and less beefy suspension. The E-series is pretty well-known for durability and it's all built to last; thick C-channels, twin I-beam. I accidentally jumped mine over a large speedbump once and it didn't even throw off the alignment. Plus, those E-load tires did amazingly well not getting cut or punctured on rocks in Utah and New Mexico. I'm considering E-loads for my F-150 just for that peace of mind, though I quite enjoy 20+mpg combined and the good ride quality of the current tires.

Anyone have any stories of their 13th gen F-150's being durable that would put my mind at ease? I want to go back to Little Grand Canyon and go a lot faster down those washboard roads than I could in my van. It sure looks like fun to drive fast off road.
