What do you ACTUALLY think about Cousins?

Personally, I don’t like him. He’s a liar. I don’t want him on this team and I pray I never have to see him take another snap for the Falcons again. Penix will in all likelihood be at LEAST better than him.

That being said, I think he’s gonna be a really solid starter after this. I see a lot of Falcons fans saying that he’s completely garbage and will never start again. I just really don’t agree. Did you guys just forget when we were 6-3 and Kirk was balling? We are all aware he got hurt, right? So why wouldn’t he be at least still decent after he heals and rehabs his arm (if that hasn’t already happened or if it’s even necessary)? I don’t see a reason as to why not. The Achilles isn’t an issue. Yeah, maybe he’s lost a step and won’t be quite as good as his Minnesota days, but he was still slinging the rock around. The man threw set our franchise record for most yards in a game. That doesn’t happen by accident. You have to be good to do that.

There are fans all around the league that can’t comprehend why Cousins is being sought in trades, and it’s because these front offices aren’t brain dead and think about things like this. They don’t just go: Cousins threw some picks because he magically fell off a cliff in week 10 and he’ll never recover. That’s goofy as hell, but it seems to be the majority opinion. Is there a risk involved? Sure. Is it that big of a risk? Not really. In all likelihood, he’ll be at least a top 20 if not top 15 qb.

Edit: alright folks, let’s clarify some things. I am not asking if Kirk is elite. I am not asking if Kirk is a franchise QB. He isn’t. We all know that. I’m not talking about if he’s worth what he’s being paid. I’m not talking about any money, or any capital, or any other strange logistics. I am asking this: What do you think of Kirk, and do you think it’s reasonable to say he could be a competent QB next year? Competent doesn’t mean top 10 guys, that means 15ish to 20ish, which is starting level in this league, maybe even further into 20s.
