Alternate way to get Ranked rewards?

There's a lot of cool stuff locked behind ranked duels. Problem is that it's a pretty dead gamemode. 10+ minutes for me to find a match, then it's only a chance to get a ranked reward, and then only a chance to get the one I want.

That's super unfeasible for one character let alone a roster of unlocks.

Is there any alternate ways to get this stuff, or any plans to change how you get it?
