Bodhi

Everyone is super convinced that the one who turned is Bodhi and I don’t disagree (though it’s so obvious I’m also wondering if it’s a red herring?). I believe Bodhi turned because Cuir was dying (retching and not being able to breathe (like Violet went through with Andarna) probably look quite similar from a distance!) and it was the only way he could stay alive to help Xaden and Tyrrendor (as he has mentioned wanting to do MANY times).

But one thing I haven’t seen discussed is HOW ABSOLUTELY INSANELY DANGEROUS an evil Bodhi would make this war!!!

He COUNTERS signets! And we’ve only seen him wield successfully once - we barely have any idea how powerful he is already. Take what Xaden did with his onyx storm and do that with Bodhi’s signet to a city full of riders and suddenly no one on the Navarrian/Aretian side has any power (other than their dragons and exceptional fighting skills). That would be bonkers!

And Violet even recognizes how “exceptional” Bodhi is yet he’s always “forgotten”. Sounds like a great villain origin story: turned to help your cousin as you’ve always done - finally now you’re the best one and you can’t give that up…?

In conclusion: I’d hate this cause it’d be so sad 😭
