I miss when game glitches used to be funny, not game-breaking.
Like, I remember when a glitch meant your horse in Skyrim was climbing a mountain sideways or an NPC would randomly T-pose mid-cutscene. We’d laugh, screenshot it, maybe post it for karma. That was it.
Now it feels like “glitch” means half the game didn’t load, your save file’s corrupt, and you’re stuck in a forever-fall loop until the next patch — maybe.
Don’t get me wrong, games are way more ambitious now. But sometimes I miss the janky charm of older bugs. They felt like weird little ghosts in the machine — not reminders that the QA team was crunched into dust.
Anyone else feel like that? What’s your favorite glitch from back in the day?
