Swedish Aspen has gotten really floppy after all the rain. Does it need help or will it correct on its own?
I planted this about 5 years ago and don’t quite remember it ever getting this floppy before. We’ve had a bunch of rain lately, and I thought it would perk up after the leaves dried off, but it’s still looking like this… I know there have been years where the new growth was flopping over a bit until the wood matured more by July-ish… But this seems extreme. Should I do anything to tie it up and help it be more packed in and upright, or will I be harming the natural process of the branches finding their strength?
(Last photo for reference of what a more mature-ish Swedish Aspen is supposed to look like)
