Bedding help

Hiii I've been using kiln dried pine bedding for my gerbil Peach since I've gotten her and her previous owner also used it. She's never had any issues with it, but today I noticed she has a tiny runny nose. Now I'm wondering if this bedding is okay to use since I've seen conflicting statements online.
American Gerbil Society says it's okay but other sources say it's not safe.
