I'm so bored of slow play/ready golf complaints on this sub
I get people can be annoyed when rounds run 4hrs plus, but if you have a serious issue with it then raise it with your club because it's understandable that most people, barring the masochists, don't want to spend that much time on the course.
I think some people on this sub don't quite understand ready golf when they are playing. If a playing partner and I are both on the fairway, but I'm 10/20 yards ahead then I'm not going to go and stand at my ball while he's behind me ready to skud me in the back of the head.
Ready golf should be used appropriately, on the tees, on the greens or when you aren't close to your playing partners.
I'm all for encouraging a steady pace of play, but just remember some people might actually be enjoying their time or the weather. Not everyone wants to fire round a course in 2hrs.
Also, remember to let people through if you can. Don't be afraid to ask either. If you are catching up then just be cool and ask if you can shoot ahead.
I think too many people forget that we are supposed to enjoy ourselves. Saying that, I will need to remember this post when I'm firing my LW 150 yards with a peak height of 5ft.
