Grand Rapids Food Co-op Investment?

Has anybody seen these posts from the Grand Rapids Food Co-op and/or become an “owner” themselves?

I see the posts and I’ve been wanting to start doing some small investments here and there but am unsure of others experiences and if this sort of thing ever does pay off. What’s the deal? Any thoughts?
