Laptop tote that isn't too heavy?

My current daily work bag is the Kate Spade All Day zip top, and I love how it looks and love all the little pouches inside the bag, but it gets really heavy with my 13" laptop and water bottle, to the point that I often have to take it off my shoulder and I just carry it like a shopping bag (which is not too feasible on the daily, because I'm 5'1" and it almost touches the ground lol).

Is my only option non-leather? I'd really prefer if my bag had a laptop compartment in it. Bonus points for zip-top but not entirely necessary.
