The powers of fables in Broken Fable

So, i have been playing with lúcifer mainly, but a little with the others too. My problem is, i'm feeling powerless with Luci. I know the fables are suppose to be equally strong, but doesnt look like ( specially compared with Arthur and pele ).

Lúcifer spoiler In the New chap Luci failed to use his powers in one of the opponents ( the fire guy ). This happens with the others fables?

Anyone else feel this way too?
