How often do you water your alocasia?

I have a humidifier just below the shot to keep it at least decently humid in my office, where most of my plants are. I've killed every alocasia I've had to date but I love them (THEY'RE SO PRETTY!) and I really want to keep them alive AND happy.

I think my main problem has been under watering.

I watered them twice this week and let them drain completely before putting their nursery pots back in the ceramic. I'm not going to put them in the ceramic until I feel confident they are stable and I can keep them alive.

Any tips?
