iPhone base model screens have been 60Hz since the first iPhone ever...

It's absolutely mind-boggling that the iPhone base model screens (and Plus models) have been at 60Hz since the first iPhone ever. How on earth, after almost TWO DECADES, have they not upgraded the base models to 120Hz?! Am I the only one who thinks this is messed up?
