Start race burn out

How much should I be cooking tires coming out of pits and start if race.

I notice I have way more straight line speed if I do it, but too much and can have probs T1 w oversteer or the rear end wants to go into the driver's lap because it allows the engine to put out more power.

All based on feel. I'm asking cause I don't really know. But I see F1 and NASCAR doing it so I'm copying them.
