A different take about Early Access expectations maybe?
Hi guys, I know there has been a lot of discussion on here the past few days about inZoi and them not being upfront about Denuvo being used. I'm not tech savvy at all so I'm not quite sure I understand it do I won't say too much about that, it wouldn't be an informed opinion! As I understand it in layman's terms, people are worried that the denuvo will affect the quality and possibly put a stop to mods in the near future (please correct me if I'm wrong)
My take for the early release and how we can manage our expectations is simply to treat the early access on Friday as a preview or sneak peak. I think people's expectations are quite high and I called it before, people are going to be disappointed. If we treat it like a preview of what's to come, and what they're working on, we can't be disappointed. It's like going to a Broadway show but being disappointed by only seeing a dress rehearsal or a sports game but only seeing the team practice. It's a sneak peek of what to expect when it's finished.
Finally, it's ok to like what you like. If you love the sims, that's great! If you're steering away from the Sims, that's fine! If you want to wait until full release, perfect- if you want to wait and see from others how denuvo affects the game, no problem. If you want to buy it straightaway, bugs and errors and all - it's fine. We can all just like what we like.
There's so much negativity in this sub right now, it's ok for some of us to still be excited. And it's ok to be concerned about the denuvo. I'm going into it with an open mind.
And finally, I think given that Kjun from Krafton has been really upfront about how this is definitely still being in development and is keen to really listen to players (the whole team has really), I'm guessing we will have an update from him soon adressing the modding issue, because that issue has grown legs and started to run! Although I'm surprised this hasn't been addressed yet.
For me, the modding issue is worrying and I get why people are upset about that, but it isn't confirmed. I've said for a while I'm very excited for what the modders and content creators will be able to do, so I'll be patient and wait and see. I have hope though, they did say quite a few times that modding will be allowed and supported, maybe they're just extremely wary of adult mods or something that doesn't align with Korean values/laws so they put that in the TOS.
I just want everybody to be happy, we've waited so long and our early sneak peek is coming very soon, let's just wait and see.
Ps. I'm loving seeing all of the new Inzoi's being posted, and the builds so far. Keep them coming!
Hope I haven't offended anyone with my post, I just wanted to offer my opinion (again, not tech savvy at all), this is just how I understand it.
Have a lovely day ❤️🐾❤️
