Always check the MRP on the spare parts that service center uses for your bike.

So, I went to Vaayuratha motors service center in Marathahalli to get the rear right indicator replaced on my X440. I was waiting in the lounge while a mechanic worked on my bike. When the indicator was replaced, he called me to show some oil leakage around the gear pedal. Turned out it was just a loose nut. Anyway, while I was there, I checked the MRP on the replacement indicator box. It was ₹510. The final bill was ₹747 which I paid assuming the remaining to be labour charges. The lady on the billing counter did not give me a bill until I insisted on a printed bill. I was charged ₹630 for the indicator and ₹99+gst for labour. On enquiring about it, the lady just said that they have added GST on ₹510 which didn't make sense as an MRP of ₹510 included the gst already.

I took it up with the service manager who told me that the company has revised the MRP for it and the new MRP was ₹630. Since they used the replacement indicator with an older manufacturing date and an older MRP, they would rectify their mistake and give me the refund on my UPI number. He took the details and I didn't get my refund.
