Ex-founder, hard lessons, and paying it forward!
A week ago, I shared my experience of shutting down my startup in this group after 14 months building in the Fintech space.
I honestly didn’t expect the post to blow up the way it did—thousands of upvotes, hundreds of comments, and even more dms from founders, product folks, and aspiring entrepreneurs asking questions, sharing their own struggles, and looking for advice.
If there’s one thing I’ve realized from all these conversations, it’s that so many of us are figuring things out as we go. Startups are messy. Product strategy, GTM, fundraising, cofounder dynamics—it’s all hard, and there’s no single playbook.
I’ve been in product for 8+ years, and while I don’t have all the answers, I do have some hard-earned lessons. If you’re building something and need a sounding board—whether it’s for structuring your product, thinking through strategy, or just dealing with the chaos—happy to chat and help however I can. No agenda, just paying it forward.
